How to Remove 404 URL From Google Search


Everyday billions of searches are made on Google from all over the world.If you own an e-commerce website and yourcheckout page or old product pages have been indexed in google then you should de-index them.Even if  you have a personal website or blog and have removed some indexed pages  from it then you should also de-index them from Google otherwise visitor to those pages will see 404 errorwhich is not good for Seo of your website.
If you have just created a page and don’t want it to get indexed you can use robot meta tag in the <head> section of  your page.

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"></head>

If your page has been already indexed then you should follow the below steps to remove it from google.
How to Remove Any Link From Google Search:-



  • Login to your Google Account.
  • Go to Google Webmaster Removal Tool click here.
  • Now you will be on My Removal Request Page and click on the New Removal  Request.
  • Give the URL of link that you want to remove and click on continue.
  • Select any reason why you want to remove this link and click on Submit Button.
It will take some time like 2-3 days to completely de-index you URL from the results.
