How to get rid of Dandruff ???

If you avoid wearing dark colours because it’s matter of time when the dress will be ruined by white flakes over the shoulders and back. And if you are irritated by itching scalp all the time. Then it’s high time that you should take it seriously and go over a few steps to get rid of the flakes and keep yourself dandruff free. Most often than not, it’s not a permanent condition and you can get rid of it by taking some extra care of your tresses. Just few more minutes to your time will certainly help you. Go through the points mentioned below and identify what works best for you to get rid of dandruff:
  • Psoriasis is a common skin disease that causes skin irritation and redness as well as flaky patches. Psoriasis affects eyebrows, elbows or knees and scalp. So if the flakes are never-ending and you see patches of dry skin on above mentioned areas then see a dermatologist as soon as possible as this is not just a case of dandruff gone bad but a skin condition.



  • Dandruff can be caused by dry scalp, or on the other hand it’s worse in summers due to sweating and heat. We tend to sweat a lot in summers which in turn makes our scalp very sticky and oily. To get rid of this temperarory dandruff always keep your scalp clean, wash your hairs at least thrice a week or even daily if necessary.

  • Use good quality of anti dandruff shampoos and not just any one. Usually anti dandruff shampoos contain ingredients like Zinc pyrithione, Selenium sulfide or Ketoconazole. These help in getting rid of dandruff but as soon as you stop using them, dandruff returns.
  • If you experience dry scalp, then massage your hair with warm coconut oil and rinse after ablest one hour. You can also add drops of lime juice in it and repeat this twice a week and it will help with the itchy and dry scalp.
  • Fenugreek seeds also work wonders. Soak a quantity of fenugreek seeds overnight in water and grind them in morning. Apply this thick paste all over your scalp and rinse after half an hour.
  • Apply aloe Vera gel on scalp and wash it off with water after about 30 minutes.
  • Rub yogurt on your head scalp and leave there for 15-20 minutes. Rinse the hair and scalp thoroughly with water and use minimal shampoo.
  • Massage baby oil into the scalp, cover your head with a warm towel and leave it for the night. Use a good antidandruff shampoo in morning to rinse it off.
  • You can also try used tea leaves. Boil 5-6 teaspoons of used tea leaves in lime water and after washing your hairs rinse them with this mixture.
Repeat these above mentioned home remedies from time to time to get rid of dandruff permanently. Maintaining a healthy diet is also necessary while keeping in mind various remedies to get rid of dandruff. Add fruits and vegetable salads to your diet, drink loads of water to keep yourself hydrated. Increase intake of fibres and vitamins but consult a doctor before taking oral vitamin supplements. Dandruff can also be caused by certain environmental factors like pollution and dirt so wash your hair regularly with a good quality product and use headgears while stepping out in pollution or dirt.
