Sunita Williams, the astronaut who currently holds the record for the most
days in space for a female (195) also holds another record!
On April 16, 2007 she completed the first marathon ran by someone in orbit.
Her sister ran the marathon on earth while Sunita ran the marathon in
space. They were updated on each other's progress throughout the race.
Sunita finished the Boston Marathon in 4 hours and 24 minutes.
In 2008 Sunita Williams once again ran the Boston Marathon but this time on
earth.
